This is definitely something you will not regret. In life you have to try new things. You have the will, so get going! You'll soon find out if you're ready!
One piece of advice based on my
first solo tour last summer. My mistake was setting a goal of where I'd like to be in four weeks. This made me push hard each day, sometimes at the expense of not slowing down and enjoying a particular area. Give yourself daily goals but perhaps keep the final destination open. You won't feel guilty (like I did) for taking a day off.
