Just picked up my D'Lite yesterday from my LBS (it was on sale for $389) and they specifically told me that they would not let me assemble it at home for fear that my improper assembly would void the warranty (and be dangerous to our child). So they insisted on assemblying it and putting it in the car for me (free of charge). They said that most LBS will do this because of the number of consumers who don't know how to put it up properly.
Maybe you can go to a LBS who can help you assemble it for a nominal fee? Or call Burley for help? Something like this is too important to mess up.
