My B17 was horrible, really painful, for about the first 100 miles - much worse than the plastic saddle it replaced. I was ready to trash it. Now after around 300 it's not so bad and, if it continues to improve, will be good. I did the agressive neat's foot oil treatment per Sheldon Brown. Not sure if that helped or not.
