so up until this week i've been doing all my swim training in some baggy speedo shorts:
definitely a lot of drag.
this week though i bought these:
definitely a lot less drag. i wasn't paying very close attention, but i think my half-mile time dropped by about a minute and a half and i was able to swim a continuous mile with far less fatigue than before averaging 1:30/100.
my question is, for training should i stick with the baggy suit for the added drag to build strength? i know i could go with a drag suit ala:
but if i'm goin for drag why not stick with the shorts?
the primary reason i could see going for a drag suit is just so i could wear this:
so what are your thoughts? stick with the shorts for added strength training, or train in the tighties? get a drag suit?
i was thinking perhaps use to tighties for the endurance workouts and the shorts for speed/strength workouts.
