Kickstands will get you killed on the trail genius. Just imagine one coming down in a technical section of a trail hopping over a rock when suddenly BOOM the kickstand plants itself into the rock throwing you into a nice tree that just happens to be nearby.

Well, the kickstand was sticking out and it got him right in the calf muscle. About a 2" deep puncture! Had to get 4 stiches as well! (lots of blood) Also, if you've ever had a puncture wound, you know how much they hurt!
