Accommodation Recommendations, Please.
I was recommended that I post my request here by thomson. My post was originally in Foo.
In a little over a month I'll be in San Francisco for about 10 days for a little trip with my wife and two daughters aged 4 and 6. I've already booked a hotel for 3 nights in San Francisco and another by the airport for the night before we fly back home.
What I would like to do is explore the area north of San Francisco, i.e. wine country, the redwood and sequoia forests, the coastal region, but I would like to find an Inn within 3 hours driving time from San Francisco to base myself out of. My preference is for an Inn as it gives my daughters a little more leg room when we need to head back 'home' to rest but I'm open to any other ideas.
Anyone have any recommendations for accommodations as well as for a general area I can base myself out of so that I can drive around to visit wine country, the coast and the big trees?
