I'm another (at this point "former") runner with knee problems - I had a sports injury at age 16 that resulted in arthritis in both knees.
I have all but stopped running at this point because it's really no longer enjoyable for me, but I was fortunate to discover cycling a few years ago, and now I can't imagine "exercise" any other way!
