I take Lipitor and Niacin (2000 mg at bedtime). My cholesterol went from high 200's to 105 and my trigycerides from several thousand to 70 with no side effects other than "flushing" which is tolerable. Tried Zocor once several years ago; gave me such severe back pain that I was out of work for a month.
