I think a simple rack (chrome or black, depending on your bike) would work well. I got one of the Ortleib grocery bags (kind of expensive at ~ $85, but nice) for taking groceries; works pretty well, well it will once I get a rack put on my own bike.

I think the Nitto racks look nice; however they're expensive.

It's a mini-rack, but I think it will hold the bag I want to carry, and probably most anything else I'd want to put on a rack.

On the other end of the price scale, the Pletscher racks:

are supposed to be good, and are quite cheap.
