Hey Gus. Regarding seats...I know of what you speak! I settled on the Terry Butterfly (Womens competition seat) with exactly the qualities you mentioned. My experience is that the Captain doesn't have the freedom of movement (especially in the hips) as on a single bike. The wider and softer platform really helps.
