The clip is scuffing the hell out of the leather front though. I need some of those Velo-orange toe clip leathers.

I'm wearing almost identical shoes right now and they're badass for clips and straps! I got mine on sale at Journeys for about $50. Not $20 but still a good deal. Very glove-like fit, they slide in and out of the clips smoothly, and the sole has just the perfect amount of stiffness to it. My only caveat to potential buyers is that they can get a little slick on the bottoms of your pedals in the rain.
