God bless Craigslist. The Enduro comp I was looking at sold dagnabbit. The guy ended up selling it for $700 which is what I was going to offer, he was just too far away to grab it. On Friday morning a guy just a few miles away is selling his sons Stumpy FSR-XC. I check it out. Everything is stock (including 7 year old tires
) and It doesn't look like it's seen any action other than it was parked outside for some of its life (brake bolts have surface rust on em'). Guy doesn't know anything about the bike other than his son studying in Europe needs $$$ (probably in Amsterdam
) and wants Dad to sell the bike ASAP. He just had it tuned-up and everything works great. I got it for $450. Took it on a 30-mile road run yesterday and it performed fabulously. Incredibly nimble ride. Stoked.
Now I'm officially able to spam these forums with misc. mayhem. Look out!
