Or, buy from your LBS if you want your LBS to stay in business so that you can go there in the future. It ain't right to leech off their expertise and their willingness to let you try bikes out, and then not give them business.
As long as I'm upfront about my intentions/goals I have no moral qualms with testing and buying elsewhere. I will tell the shop that I'll be using them for service and parts but that I'm going to buy a used bike and I'd like thier advice on what is best for my needs.
