I'm allowed to say this because I've been there so many times: You want to lose 30 pounds but you don't want to stop eating. Weight gain is a function of intake vs. output, but for me--and maybe you--it's also a function of excuses. Cycling isn't the only form of exercise out there, and if you can't do anything at all (which is really unlikely), you need to cut the intake.
Don't interpret this as personal criticism; it's not meant that way. But there are ways around this problem if you want to find them.
