that's what i thought too. the fork looks like a manitou axel, which i've had two of, and i've liked them a lot.
you'd probably be better off getting a hardtail or replacing the rear shock on this bike. this one's got some pretty nice components though.
The Axel fork is by far the worst most flexy fork I have ever been on. That may be an X-Fusion rear shock. not too bad but far from a nice shock. But for 500 it's still not a bad deal if the drivetrain is in good shape.
