When I was starting out in Mountain biking (1990), Cannondales seemed to be at the peak of the industry, and I wanted one bad so bad infact that I started a nasty habit of drooling whenever I saw one!!!
They're still up there in my belief, and it'll be interesting to see how they do in the Motor bike world.
Not too sure about the Scapel, I think out of all of them, I'd go for the F4000...
