thanks fore
i didn't mean to imply you were trying make fashion statements, or anything... just wondered if you had advice (besides staying away from flashy bikes) on avoiding theft. my lock is a kryptonite evolution, so i think i'm ok.

(nice bicycles btw; my gf can't wrap her head around why i'd want to buy a road/track bike when i alread had a mtb. i told her it was somewhat like having two pairs of shoes...she didn't buy it) have you ever been to the track outside of detroit, mi? i'm headed to ann arbor and think i'll give it a try.

for anyone: (misguided) concerns about theft and decals aside, the first two reasons i gave for wanting to get rid of or alter the stickers were personal and aesthetic. Fixer, thanks for the tip about acetone. But what's the best way to take off a little of the clear coat? and what would be the best way to reprotect the metal? krylon, cure, sand?
