I`m in Japan right now visiting relatives and I saw Keirin racing twice last week in Yahiko (Niigata prefecture). I love the irony of how Keirin/NJS is percieved as this trendy hipsterish thing, but the people going to see Keirin are really just a bunch of ugly retired chainsmokers who are addicted to gambling. No one there really cares or knows anything about the bikes or cycling. Its kinda sad, really. If you want to take photos you have to be sneaky about it...apparently photos are not allowed, at least not at the track I was at.
