If someone holds so little respect for another that they've made a lifetime commitment too, then they can't respect anybody and have some unresolved issues that most likely require professional help.
Spouses can be much meaner to each other than just swearing. Sure, swearing is disrespectful, but it's also a prevalent stress-reliever in our society and I think we all understand that swearing is not really personal. Name calling, mental cruelty, criticism, lying, sarcasm, etc is a lot worse in my mind than a few cuss words because something got spilled.
