There are several versions of those tires: Japanese, Taiwanese, wire and flooding. Not to mention 2.3's for AM peeps. The Taiwanese version are heavier as are the wire bead ones.

I run PSI pretty high around 37-42 (especially since we have been in drought conditions) and am happy with the rolling resistance. They are fine at lower levels too.

If you only ride dry trails and hardpacked surfaces, you'll be better off with a faster less aggressive tread.

It is always a compromise: speed, traction, rolling resistance, durability, cost...
