That can't happen if the bike is well maintained.
I have 1 bike and 1 recumbent trike in the family room, 4 bikes in the study, my velomobile in the pergola attached to the house as it won't fit through the door.
I have been known to do maintainence in the lounge.
The wife tolerates it but does object when more bikes/trikes start to collect in the family room.
