No, just pull the rear wheel off and flush out the freewheel with WD-40. You should see all kinds of gnarly stuff come running out. Try spinning the freewheel backwards and alternately spraying, it should free up for you. let it sit a day or two for the WD to evaporate then lube with oil. Not the perfect method, but it will work.
For perfection either complete disassembly and cleaning or replacement is required.
