We started with a Fuji flat bar, and quickly upgraded to a Trek T2000, comfort was a primary reason.

That said, the Periscope is an awesome tandem. We even saw a triple a month or so ago. I have our Fuji set up with a kids stoker kit, and it works great, but my wife and I love the Trek.

I've ordered some stuff from Mel, very pleased with his service.
We will see in time...if I upgraded it would have been Shimano and I would rather do Campy. This way I can make the conversion and go with an Ergo lever and a Shiftmate...and it will cost me less.
