I think even if I did xc I would use the high rollers. Durable and fast rolling. For me the choice is cause of the terrain. Even the xc courses here work better with the type of tires. Hooks up well in multiple terrains (whistler changes terrain type 4 times during any given climb/descent)

Kenda would be my other tire of choice (which I had to buy cause of my 24" wheel on the bighit)
