Ya, if you go in to steal an orbea, you're not a run of the mill impulse thief. you plan it out, figure out what stores have what measures in place, and you wait for the right moment. i personally am not a thief, i would kill myself for teh guilt of stealuing, but as a loss preventionist in retail for many years, people will literally sit in a parking lot and wait until they see a large enough group go in to create a diversion. nothing is worse for theft than being busy. hence thieves come in packs around teh holidays and big sales. it sucks, but that is the way it works. ive seen people take a $400 baby stroller, walk it around the store adn shop until the store is busy, go through the register and buy a pair of socks, and stroll out with the stroller. people are good, adn good thieves are smart. he may put it away, in perfect shape, and not touch it for a few years, or put the gruppo on another frame, and just toss teh frame. sucky eh?
