Sounds like you mean you'll be trail riding...the bike will be fine.

BTW, the Canada Cup DH course in Fernie, BC, is mainly what I would call Singletrack DH. Up top there aren't a lot of big air opportunities (compared to closer to the bottom), but it is rough, rocky, and technical with some nice steep sections. You could creep along it on a HT but what fun would that be?

I guess everyone just has different definitions of riding DH.
