When I was a teenager some kids at my school had rear wheels with sprockets on both side - single sprocket fixed on one side and multi gear (5) freewheel on the other. However they only had one chain and flipped the wheel around depending on whether ther wanted gears or fixed. I dont see the point of two chains as it will only add weight and give no extra power - power comes from the legs.
