I believe that you must mean On-One's "Midge" bar. The Mary is a "flat" bar.

Anyway-- I ride the Midge drop bar on my 'cross and MTB and have bar-end shifters on the MTB. They work very well there. Not in the way of knees, easy to get to. In fact the Midge bar seems designed with bar-end shifters in mind.
