well i did some sharp cornering downhill last night and i had no problems at all...The beam is really wide so i wanna say the beam shoots out bout 10-15ft on each side of the bike...by all means it wasnt as bright as the center but it was bright enough to see any pot holes or anything else that could cause trouble
