If it's weight you're after, the Thompson Masterpiece is touted as being lighter while keeping the strength. Since that was a fairly expensive weight loss, I went with the Elite, too. Reason? The stock post had so much set back, I couldn't get the seat adjusted quite right. I guess I just have non standard proportions, and have been paying for it ever since I started riding.
