Simplex Rear Derailleur - French

Hey,

I have a beautiful 1980 claw mount rear Simplex (rear) derailleur that shifts as smooth as butter and as precise as Sydney Crosby going top shelf. I got stupid and switched it from my roadie to my MTB to see how it would work . . . worked fantastic until I went for a spill and the derailleur came down real hard on a log and cracked the top tension spring where it mounts to the frame via a claw type hanger.

I pulled a top tension spring from a shimano but it is coiled in the opposite direction. I have hit every local bike shop but without success for a similar top spring. Anybody know what I am talking about and more importantly where I might get a a tension spring coiled in such a manner wthout having to drop $40 on ebay for a 25 year old derailleur just to get the spring!!!

If you stand the spring up it would coil clockwise from the bottom to the top instead of the counterclockwise of the Shimano and everything else that I can find. Please help!
