Something to consider when buying a helmet

I finally decided on a Bell Sweep R when I was looking for a helmet with better ventilation. Because I had not used a helmet mounted light before that was not part of my criteria.

I planned to use my Trek Interval II helmet this winter because it has less ventilation and should be a little warmer than my Bell. However, I can fasten a velcro strap in the Bell and it does not contact my head or interfere with the helmet cushioning. When I wrap the velcro strap on my Trek it wraps over the helmet cushioning and contacts my head directly. I don't know how uncomfortable it would be to ride with the Trek for long periods since I have opted to use the Bell for comfort and just get a warmer balaclava.

Anyway, a factor to consider when purchasing a new helmet and you are using or considering using a helmet mounted light.
