I faced the same exact problem when I built my wheels with the miche hubs, me and my lbs concluded that it "would work" but I didnt want to run the risk of potentially messing up the threads. So I went with the miche adapter and cog and I LOVE IT, so easy to change cogs, NO CHAINWHIP. Just buy the adapter and cog from miche, you'll be glad you did.
