While all of our bodies respond faster or slower to exercising and diet. If you Burn more than you take in, you will loose fat.
You may already know this
but what helped me was not paying attention to much to my actual weight, initially it can be a mental block depending on your current muscle mass ..as you start you'll be building alot of muscle to match the new physical request and it may throw off what you think you should be losing in weight. I mentally made it about getting active instead of losing weight and like tom said sure enough it started happening.
