I think I'd have a heart attack if I ever got off the 59th St. Bridge on the Manhattan side and a useful bike lane leading, oh, I dunno... anywhere? (same thing goes for the Queens side... or that elusive crosstown route in midtown...)
Eh? What crosstown route? I agree about the QBB, BTW. Getting on/off on either side is ridiculous, and a major reason I usually go along the route in my OP. I'll take the QBB 1-2 times per week when I meet some pals in Central Park for a an early pre-work ride on my way to work and gah! even at 7AM it's a PITA to get on and off that bridge.
