Welcome aboard, shrxwin! I bought a Crossroads for my wife before she got serious about riding. Now my teenage daughter rides it --- when she can't convince her parents to cart her around in the car! Like catatonic, I'm not crazy about comfort bikes either. It's probably OK for commuting, quick trips to the store, riding around the neighborhood and paths, but it's not going to be all that great if you start riding up into the hills. It really all depends on what your riding goals are.
