I inherited this bike a few days ago, and am currently using it replace my ****ty Magna girl's bike I had been using to commute between home and work. In every way, this bike is better except for one thing: there is nothing covering the front chainwheel.

This sucks because if the chain is on the smaller gear, the top gear's teeth stick out and get caught on my pants, which is REALLY annoying. If I put the chain on the top gear, the teeth are covered by the chain, so no catching, but instead I get chain grease all over my pants let.

There has to be a chain guard I can buy that fits over the front gears, but I can't find anything. I've searched all online bike shops, but can't find anything. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

Hebie chainglider

edit: may not work exactly for you but you could copy it with some hardware store tubing maybe

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!
