Worse...steel crank! Broke right where the pedal goes thru. Still have the bike, it is my 1971 Sports Standard that I use as a beater. It has in excess of 15k miles on it, looks like crap and still rides pretty sweet if you don't use the brakes
(big dings in the rims). It is going to be getting a nice new rear wheel built up this winter using Weinman alloy rims and an FG hub that I have.
