I have a 1982? maybe 83 Fuji Del Rey Frame with Suntour components. The Del Rey debuted Fuji's "Val-lite" tubing. I think it was quad butted! This was a touring bike. It was originally a Fuji S-18-S, but the frame was out of alignment when purchased, and I did not notice it as a 15 year old until a year later. The seat stays were actually different lengths because of where they had been welded into the Seat tube-toptube junction. Anyway, it was a good ride and it made it to Germany, Switzerland and Lichtenstein and back in 1985. It got a bent crank at some point which was not a problem when I started riding it as I retuned to cycling in 2004, but last year I tried a century in December and I think the combination of the bent crank and the cold left me hobbled with a sore knee till February. It has been hanging in the garage ever since, but I still have fond thoughts of it.
