That's a lot of miles! and an interesting comparison to the girth of the earth. I've probably come close to circling the earth in the last five years of riding. I know you've put in a lot of miles on tours and extreme races and rides. I do it more in dribs and drabs of 5 or 10 miles per trip. (I think the farthest I've been from home on my bike is only about 40 miles.) But those short trips add up fast if you're riding pretty much every day of the year, like I do.
