I was given the best excuse possible for a TV-free Christmas by my sister: "Schulz and Peanuts: A Biography" by David Michaelis. An absolutely compelling read about my favorite cartoonist of all time. Nothing like a warm fire in the fireplace, a nice glass of tawny port, both cats curled up with me, and a good book. Television is one f**k of an intrusion at a moment like that.
