We use the muscles of one group to stretch the tendons of the opposing group like using the left arm to stress and stretch the wrist elbow and shoulder tendons of the right arm. We had a drop in job related injuries. Younger people doing easy rides might get away without warm-up. The older you get and the harder you go from the start the more likely you will get hurt.
