I'm Eli. I am 27, living in Sunnyvale. I lost about 45 lbs after resuming commuting (9 miles each way) to work on my bike this year, and another 45 a few years back That's 10 pant sizes. My commuter bike is Scattante R-330 with lots of accessories for practicality. After reaching my weight goal of 200lbs, I bought myself a Trek Fuel EX-8 as a reward, and that's my new mountain bike weekend adrenaline toy. So I am riding bikes every day if weather permits. Having always been a fat guy, I must say that biking has gotten me into the best shape of my life, and it changed my life. I can now do so many activities that I wasn't in good enough shape to do before, such as running, etc.
I love biking, can't wait till it stops raining. In the mean time, I run on the treadmill to stay in shape. It's not the same as having air and scenery rush past you, but it will have to do for now
