The aerobic exercise burns more calories if performed after the weight lifting session. But as mentioned above, you also need to warm up before lifting.

Personally i do 10 min on a staionary bike as I get my mp3 player all set up and on the playlist I want, then do the weights, then end with a 30 min run or elliptical.
