MKS makes a "quick release" pedal (pull back a ring and the pedal comes off) that comes in platform or clipless. You could get a set of each and switch them as you want in a couple of seconds. You can also remove them when parking the bike to make it a bit more unfriendly to thieves.
The alternating sided pedals (clipless one side, platform the other) are a pain for clipless as you have to roll the pedal over with your toe (clipless side is heavier and always faces down) to clip in.
