Why is the rear derailleur/chain so low?
Is this because of the 11-34 cassette? - I assume this requires a long-cage derailluer?

Am I wrong in thinking that there is nothing unique to the dual-chainring setup that necessitates this?
i.e. you could have a regular Dahon cassette and RD and it would not be so low down?
