not sure - helmets don't really protect the face too well. i would guess she wouldn't have died, but probably would have suffered serious injury. we would need more details about how she fell, the angle, etc.. by the way - who falls on their face? isn't the natural instinct to turn toward your side or back as you're falling? somehow i think she would have been better off with just some basic tumbling skills.
