Maybe it's not Trek. Could be the shop stalling for time if they are busy. "umm, errrr, yeah, the bike hasn't arrived yet, Uhh, yeah, that's the ticket!".

When Trek contacted the LBS about my replacement frame, the frame arrrived 2 or 3 days later.
