My wife is far more fair skinned than my brown self so she was/is the same. Every ride she burned. Last summer we packed on the block before the rides. Then her skin decided to tan rather than burn. Used the 'apply 15 minutes before in the shade' method. Seemed to work, and GAWD do I love tanlines on the femile!
For the record, this was a 100 degree plus day incase you're wondering why we ride naked!
