Let's just say that while police are trained to ride down stairs and such, I have a... shall we say... home field advantage where I would be running from said cops. It's not a matter of simply outrunning them. They have cars for that. But the cops won't take a squad car OR a bike through the heart of the campus. Nor can they spread out fast enough with enough density to cover every escape route.

We're significantly more comfortable on the ground AND in the air than any cop, bike or car, will ever be.

Now as for a street chase, I'd say its a little more about knowing the area than getting away through speed. If you can legitimately get chased by cars, you've already lost.

......I'm not speaking from experience, just FYI.
